The Rockingham Arts Centre (RAC) supports artists at all stages of their careers by providing opportunities to develop and exhibit their work. A core aim of the RAC is to help artists build confidence and skills through professionally curated exhibitions, workshops and development programs delivered by industry experts.
Our program provides opportunities for artists to apply for curated exhibitions and for Rockingham-based community art groups to present annual shows. The RAC also hosts the annual City of Rockingham Art Prize and the Castaways Maquette and Small Sculpture exhibition.
A well‑equipped multi‑purpose room adjoins the main gallery and is ideal for arts-based workshops and pop‑up exhibitions. The RAC also offers opportunities for workshop facilitators to share their skills with artists of all levels.
Location and opening hours
The RAC is located at 11 Kent Street, Rockingham and is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am-12.30pm and 1pm-4pm.
It is within walking distance to the beautiful Rockingham Foreshore, which offers a variety of cafés and restaurants. Free parking is available nearby.

Venue hire
The Rockingham Arts Centre features a studio space for artists who may not have access to a space at home to develop their practice, prepare for an exhibition etc.
The studio is equipped with a utility sink, drying rack, two high benches, small table, lockable storage, extraction fan and air conditioning.
Stay tuned for information about studio hire applications for 2027.
The multi-purpose room can be booked for art classes and/or workshops by independent artists or community art groups. The RAC cannot accept bookings from non arts-based individuals, group's, clubs, or organisations. Please refer to other City venues for your needs.

Bonds
A cleaning a maintenance bond of $250 plus a key bond of $50 is required for all hire bookings, due no later than two weeks prior to hire. Bond payments are fully refundable upon the terms and conditions of hire being met.
