From the comfort of an armchair, travel with us around the world through the use of virtual reality thanks to SilVR. Each session will start with a 20-minute introduction video that each new participant must watch once, followed by a guided tour of a selected location from around the world.

A new location will be selected every month and each session will finish with a cup of tea related to the chosen location.

Suitable for ages 18+. Free event. Bookings essential.

Libby Reads with David Allan-Petale (formerly Libby Book Club WA) is a free online book club for West Australia.

The interviews take place on the third Wednesday of every month and all attendees will have the opportunity to engage and interact with the featured author. Library card holders can borrow the books discussed with no waiting or holds via the Libby reading app

Our Seed Library is now operating from the Mary Davies Library and Community Centre.

The Seed Library is available for library members to access free vegetable seeds which you can plant, grow and enjoy at home.

People who successfully harvest seeds can return them to the Seed Library where they will be put back into circulation for others to plant in the following season.

There are basil, bean, beetroot, carrot, cucumber, lettuce, pumpkin, spinach, tomato and watermelon seeds to select from.

Get crafty every month with a different activity for adults across all four libraries.

Create for a Cause at Rockingham Library logo

Create for a Cause is a crochet and sewing group that meets weekly at the Rockingham Library and Safety Bay Library.

Anyone interested is welcome to come and join in and help create something for a special cause.

No bookings are required, just bring yourself, crochet hook if you have one and a smile. Light refreshments provided.

Connect and Create at Mary Davies Library logo

Learn some new skills and make new friends at our regular community groups at Mary Davies Library and Community Centre.

Sewing Group meets every Monday, 9am-1pm.

New members welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring a plate to share.

Adult Lego meets every Thursday, 10am-12pm and every Sunday, 1pm-3pm.

Bring your own kits or build with the Lego provided.

Scrabble Club meets first Thursday of the month, 1pm-3pm.

New members and all levels welcome. Bring your own board if you have one.

Bookings are not required to attend these groups.

Connect and Create at Rockingham Library Logo

Make some new friends and learn some new skills at our regular community group meetings at Rockingham Library.

Groups include the Rockingham City Chess Connect, Crochet Club, Colour your world and Drawn together

Laughs and Crafts meets every Friday, 10am-12pm.

Bring along your own craft projects to work on and connect with new people.

You will have access to a Cricut Maker 3, sewing machine and overlocker.

Scrabble Club meets every Friday, 1pm-4pm

Join other wordsmiths for a fun and friendly game of Scrabble. All levels welcome.

Participants are encouraged to bring a plate to share. Bring your own board if you have one.

First Thursday Films at Safety Bay Library logo

Visit the Safety Bay Library on the first Thursday every month (12pm - 2pm) for the screening of the best in classic cinema, independent, Australian and world films.

Bring your lunch but coffee and tea is provided. Audience members must be 18+.
