Delivered by the Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of Commerce (RKCC), the Rockingham Jobs Fair will be held on Wednesday 22 April from 10am-4pm at the Gary Holland Community Centre, Rockingham.
Deputy Mayor Robert Schmidt said the event played an important role in strengthening the local workforce and connecting residents with real employment opportunities.
The Rockingham Jobs Fair is a practical way to support local people into employment while helping businesses connect with skilled and motivated workers,” Deputy Mayor Schmidt said.
“Supporting skills development and access to local talent is essential to building a resilient and future‑ready economy.”
The annual event caters to people of all ages, abilities and experience levels, including school leavers, students, career changers and those re-entering the workforce.
Local employers recruiting staff and apprentices will be joined by training and education providers, along with interactive workshops offering practical career advice and hands‑on demonstrations.
As part of the program, Sandon WA Inc will deliver the Focused on Wheels Road Safety Program, offering hands-on workshops focused on essential vehicle skills such as tyre changes, basic vehicle checks and safe trailer reversing. Workshop numbers are limited and bookings are required.
"We are so excited for the 2026 Jobs Fair. This year we’re welcoming a record number of schools and 50 exhibitors, including major employers such as Griffin Marine, Mineral Resources and Mader Group,” said RKCC CEO Sue Hassey.
“It’s fantastic to see so many organisations committed to encouraging local employment and showcasing real career pathways for our community"
The Rockingham Jobs Fair forms part of the City’s Economic Development Strategy 2025–2030, supporting workforce development and stronger connections between businesses and the community.
