About the facilitators

Lyn Di Ciero has a wide experience in the visual arts over the past 40 years, from curator of Castaways since its inception in 2008, to publisher of the Artist’s Chronicle magazine since 1991, the longest-running independent visual arts magazine in Western Australia’s history and Artoble, the newly released free-to-download art finder App. She is a former visual arts feature writer for The West Australian, and a filmmaker with commissions including the Art Gallery of WA and St John of God Health Care where her documentaries feature on the first arts channel within a hospital in Western Australia.

Mark Datodi is a Western Australian visual artist with more than twenty five years of professional practice across printmaking, sculpture, installation, and public art. His work has been exhibited in galleries and realised in public spaces throughout Western Australia. Through his practice, Mark explores the relationship between people, place, and the built environment, creating works that enrich the cultural and aesthetic experience of public spaces.

Carol Stevens collaborates with and supports other artists to bring their ideas to fruition. She coordinates with other agencies, project manages, and supports clients throughout the design, fabrication and installation of their works. In 2019 Carol co-founded the arts fabrication business Artforms WA, for which she was resident artist and project manager. Since 2024 Carol has run her solo art business, Upstart Art and Design. Her artworks can be found in the public domain across the state. Examples of her work include sculptures, entry statements, shade shelters, commemorative artworks and functional art pieces.
