Community Infrastructure Grant Application Process
Please follow each step below for further information, and before submitting an application.
Complete the Application
Please take a moment to review the requirements and eligibility criteria outlined in the Guidelines before proceeding with your application.
Only proceed to the next step of your application if you are confident that you meet all criteria.
Please note: applications will be assessed by City’s Officers in accordance with relevant City policies, guidelines and processes. The City reserves the right to decline applications, or approve for partial funding. Any decisions made by Council are final.
Even if you’ve applied for a grant before, please discuss your project with a Community Infrastructure Project Officer to discuss eligibility, procedures and application requirements. An application form will be provided once the project has been discussed.
The Community Infrastructure Planning Team can be contacted on 9528 0333 or by emailing customer@rockingham.wa.gov.au
If a facility/site where your project is located is leased or licensed from the City, an approved Consent for Alterations and Additions (A&A) is required.
You must contact the City’s Properties team (leased facilities) or the Community and Leisure Facilities team (licensed facilities) to discuss your project and obtain the A&A form. Your grant application cannot be submitted without an approved A&A.
Writing a good grant application requires time and preparation. Ensure that you have thoroughly answered all questions correctly, the budget is balanced and that you have prepared all supporting documentation prior to submitting your application.
Should you have any questions or require clarification, please do not hesitate to contact the Community Infrastructure Project Officer. We encourage you to take this opportunity to ensure the best possible outcome for your application.
Once you have completed the application, please submit it with the requested documents as this will assist with streamlining our review and assessment process.
The City does encourage submission of your application before the closing date to ensure the application is correct and all necessary documents are attached – if submitted with incorrect and incomplete information at time of closing this may be considered incomplete and result in your submission being declined.
Note: Community Infrastructure Grants must be submitted in full by the round closure date and time. Late applications will not be accepted.
Applications should be forwarded to:
Electronic copies:
customer@rockingham.wa.gov.au (10MB limit per email)

Following the closing of each grant round, all applications will be assessed by City Officers and the Community Grants Program Panel before being presented to the City’s Council. All applications must be endorsed formally at an Ordinary Council Meeting prior to funds being allocated.
An acquittal link to access the form will be sent with your grant agreement. This form will give you an indication what documents are to be kept throughout your project, and how to report on the project outcomes.
