Public Notice: City of Rockingham Special Electors’ Meeting

The meeting will be held on Monday 4 May 2026 at 6:00pm at the Gary Holland Community Centre, 19 Kent Street, Rockingham.

In accordance with section 5.28 of the Local Government Act 1995 the City has received a written request from more than 300 electors.

The motions to be discussed as requested by electors are:

• Motion 1: Reinstate weekly red-lidded bin collection. 
• Motion 2: Commission an independent audit of the FOGO waste system. 
• Motion 3: Establish a public Transparency Register for lobbyists and developers. 
• Motion 4: Implement a mandatory Ratepayer Impact Statement for capital projects over $500,000. 
• Motion 5: Create a public Accountability Dashboard for tracking questions taken "on notice."

This meeting is open to electors of the City of Rockingham District. To vote at a Special Electors’ Meeting you must be an elector of the City of Rockingham.
